Eirena has been very deliberate in her use of "this" and "that" recently. She likes to specify that "this balloon popped, but that balloon did not pop".
Tonight at dinner she was eating her dessert (left over from a girls' night we had last night). A piece of angel food cake fell on the floor. She looked at the two remaining pieces in her dish and then said, " this piece, this piece (because there are two pieces) did not go on floor. But THAT piece... went in Uc's mouth".
