Eirena's dearest treasure is Fuzzy Bear. I was just looking at some videos from when she was 2 months old and Fuzzy Bear was a plump fuzzy bear, rather than a well-loved, bedraggled, unidentifiable rag. Emphasis on the well-loved.
Fuzzy Bear goes everywhere with us. He goes grocery shopping, to church (although he stays in the car and naps while we're inside), he goes to the park, down the slide, to the potty, and on imaginary adventures. He also eats meals with us (he really likes oatmeal and salads).
Fuzzy Bear's latest activities are 1) walking on his own feet and 2) going in a parachute. His parachute is Eirena's gdiaper cover that velcros top and bottom to form a sort of hammock around him. That's how he spends nap time and bed time.
Eirena really isn't interested in dolls, but she does show her nurturing in Fuzzy Bear. (Yesterday Fuzzy Bear helped us unload the wash machine and then load the dryer. He helped load with his "hands".) It is pretty fun to watch Eirena take care of Fuzzy Bear and to interact with him, as we would with her.
There really isn't much point in this post except to help me remember this phase in Eirena's life, and maybe for you to be amused by her imaginary play- it is pretty amusing.
