At the "bouncy place"
We took Eirena to a "bouncy place" today, you know, where they have a bunch of inflatable bouncing toys. I was a little worried that she wouldn't be too interested in it or not really get the idea. Of course as soon as we walked in, her train radar went off.
"Hmm, how do I get those trains away from that other kid?"
We did eventually convince her to give the inflatable things a chance:
Since you had to have socks on, it was slippery enough for her to slide down and really get moving, instead of her normal scooting down a slide. At one point she even tried head first down a short slide!
Of course, she had to go back to the train table every so often to get her train fix, but overall, the bouncy place was a hit and thoroughly wore her out. It was surprisingly affordable, considering you pay for the day, can leave and reenter, and adults are free with accompanying children! It was great to have something active for her to do that kept us out of the sun all day.
