6 months

We sit at the table eating lunch. Eskil, now trying his palate with solids, joins us. Spitting out his food results in peals of laughter from his siblings, as does blowing raspberries with his food.
When things get too serious we have "baby laugh" time. I tickle him, he laughs and makes his brother and sister giggle. He soaks up the adoring looks and the humor he provides and we do it again.
During play time big sister is concerned about the "Eskil storm" that comes to destroy the train tracks and sheds. She is learning to gently remove trains from his drooly grasp and rotate his little body around to find something else to grab his attention. This is usually an exercise in futility as Eskil knows that trains are special because the big people in his life play with them; he clearly wants to join in the fun.
While making dinner he often gets "jumpy" time. A restless big brother "reads" to him and Fuzzy Bear, who also gets to sit in the jumper.
Six months old and he is a joy to have in the family. Is it a little nutty around here? Yes. But we love our Eskil Jude.

New tricks: scooching his way across the floor to get into mischief- trains, cars, cds, books, puzzles
eating solids- pears are a hit, bananas produced a Calvin-esque shudder
two new teeth
