End of a season

I took down the Christmas decorations this afternoon. I had planned to do it a couple days ago but was met with protests. So I took my chance while Eirena was playing outside today. When she walked in she said, "it's a sad day in the world, in our house".
"Why?", I asked.
"Because all the garlands [Christmas decorations] are gone", she replied in a dramatically morose tone.

In case you were wondering how to get more vitamin C into your diet, here is a very yummy recipe that our family loves:
Lemon Cream Pasta from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. The ingredients are basic, and the cooking is pretty easy. And it turns out with a lovely strong lemon flavor. Other than adding a lot more garlic (just for fun because I felt like hitting some garlic with a knife), I didn't change a thing. It's that good.
